****LOCK OF THE WEEK:
LA CHARGERS (-3) 7 over HOUSTON
Don’t want to jinx myself, but I’m 4-0 picking the Chargers this season. Each time I picked them to cover, each time I picked them to win.
Also, they’ve given up the fewest points in the NFL this season. They’ve turned the ball over only 9 times and been intercepted only three times. They believe so strongly in their defense they don’t take the downfield chances most teams do. Houston has turned the ball over 19 times and been intercepted 12.
Lastly, the Chargers are 5-3 on the road and the Texans are 5-3 at home. But if you’ve seen the jerseys of visiting teams in LA, every game the Chargers play is a road game. I feel good about this one, as Caesars Sport’s book will attest.
BALTIMORE over PITTSBURGH
BUFFALO over DENVER
PHILADELPHIA over GREEN BAY
TAMPA BAY over WASHINGTON
Toughest game to pick; the Bucs are tested; hammered Philadelphia 32-9 in the playoffs last season before losing to Detroit by 8 in Detroit. Also, they’ve averaged 32.7 points in their last 7 games. But, man, I like this Washington team, and rookie of the year QB Jayden Daniels. I’ll go with the experienced team, at home.
