The White Knuckle Ride – 20 Years Later…

Can you believe it’s been 20-years since John Boy & Billy “cart-jacked” Food City’s Giant Shopping Cart at Bristol Motor Speedway?? — That was way back in August of 1997 – but things aren’t much different today, Billy still white knuckles it in the passenger seat whenever John Boy takes the wheel — and NOBODY has even come close to beating John Boy’s shopping cart world land speed record…

Photos of the occasion were turned into an autographed keepsake (see below) to raise money for the Speedway Children’s Charities — and was even chronicled in this official NASCAR book, “Bristol Motor Speedway” (page 122 – but who’s counting..). — ah, memories…
